That Illness Called Heartbreak

That illness called heartbreak,
it seems detrimental
gaining control over happiness
driving some mental,
Don't mean to be judgemental
but quit taking guys on a rental,
On that "rent to own" status,
soon pleasure dries out like cactus.

What a sour deal to take,
that illness called hearbreak.

Dont sweep good qualities under the dust,
the outside might be gold, but the inside is rust,
check out other aspects,
what their actions project,
what their words reflect,
be able to detect
if the size of their heart is life-sized or a speck.

The time you must be willing to take,
to steer from that illness called heartbreak.

Man Looks Outside, God looks Heart-wise

Its so easy to judge, yet so wrong.
You're not perfect either
Why make me feel like I don't belong.

I never meant to be "around" and just accepting any guy
Just to feel a bit loved,
though you may despise.

Sitting all the way to the end of the bleacher.
I just wanna be a lonesome.
Dnt judge me, its not that I think I'm better.

Little do you know why I choose not to converse
is to limit the stabs on my back from hypcrites,
and my so called friends were the worst.

Yes what I do is mean and horrible,
but dont be so quick to judge.
The things I say about others, repeating it is double awful.

Way down in pride though I wont admit
I am insecure in most things about me.
So downing others give me the benefit.

It deeply hurts to not be understood,
to have evryone invent a status you havent approved of.
Especially when at the same time struggling with your selfhood

Dont judge me, but correct me lovingly.
With a right attitude, with pure intentions
Not jumping to conclusions, but stepping on the point carefully.

I Believe

I believe a person can change if they're willing to,
casting behind their old selves and coming new.
I believe a smile alone can change a mood thats sad
and makes life trials seem not so bad.
I believe in doing things that make you happy, being fullfilled in your calling
and not grumbling, waiting for the day to finish, stalling.
I believe that singing a song from out of the blue comes from the heart
and depending what that song it is says alot on your part.

I believe in love, not what most of us think with the popular "him and her",
the "I love you"  now, then "we've grown apart" later.
I believe that love never fails no matter the test,
that there's always a broom to sweep up the mess.
I believe in being content with yourself and finding joy in single growth,
not rushing to find someone to confirm your worth.
I believe in faith, hoping in things that cant be seen,
giving no room to faithless talk, doin a houseclean.

I believe in having a relationship with God
not a "hi" and "later" or a bedtime nod,
but reading his Word and talking to Him,
giving Him access to your every whim.
I believe in focusing on what a person could be rather than what he is,
and not speaking evil against one another, as Matthew 4:11 says.
I believe that i am a star, and im gonna shine baby!
no doubt about it, no if, buts, or maybes.
